HOW TO DISCOVER AND FULFILL YOUR PURPOSE

God has a purpose for your life; a destiny that He created you to fulfill, and one of the greatest blessings you could ever experience in life is to discover God’s purpose for your life and fulfill it. Some people aren’t aware of this and, as a result, they live empty lives. Some others don’t believe that God could have a plan for them, but why wouldn’t He? He created you!

Jesus was on earth for a specific purpose and He was clear about it. He affirmed it in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” He knew He didn’t just come to the world to look around and die; His whole life was in pursuit of a purpose–to save and give life to all men. He lived and fulfilled the will of the Father. In a prophetic reference to Jesus, Hebrews 10:7 states: “…Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.”

A lot of people live very dull and uninspiring lives. They drift along in life, living without any sense of purpose. You were born for a purpose, and it’s important to discover your purpose in life. Like Jesus, you were born for a purpose. Perhaps you’re wondering, “But how do I know the will of the Father? How do I know His purpose for my life?” To find the answers to these questions, you’ll first have to understand what the word ‘purpose’ means. Purpose is an idea or aim kept in the mind as the goal towards which one’s efforts are directed. It’s a definite intention; the object or reason for which something exists or is done.

If you’re born again, the will of the Father and His plan for your life shouldn’t be a mystery to you. In John 20:21, the Lord said, “Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” Thus, this is now your purpose; you’ve been sent to reach all men with the Gospel of life. The day you gave your heart to Christ, He gave you His kind of thinking and made you a savior, just like Him.

Moreover, the will, nature, and purpose of God are revealed in His Word. Daily, He gives us the Word to guide our thinking, planning and actions. Also, you can boldly ask Him, and He’ll tell you, for He is the Master Communicator. He can talk to you about His purpose for your life in a language that you’ll understand, and lead you from your spirit into the life He’s planned for you to live. As you meditate on those words, do those things that please Him and stay in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, God’s plan for your life becomes clear to you.

So, let your whole life be in pursuit of this purpose; be passionate about the enthronement of God’s Kingdom in the hearts of men, and its expansion to the ends of the earth. That way, your life will take on a whole new meaning. Yield yourself to Him today and let the divine vision to bring Him glory and express His righteousness be your passion, pursuit, and purpose every day, and you’ll experience true joy and in life.
