IT’S NOT RIGHT TO BE SICK, FEARFUL AND POOR

THERE ARE DIFFERENT GRACES - YOU CAN ENJOY ALL,, Power in your words

“Likewise, look at the ships: though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines. Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things. See how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze!”

James 3:4-5 (AMPC)

Have you ever wondered why many good people suffer, and why so many others go through life with so much hardship? Some Christians have suffered so much and for so long that they have begun to think life is supposed to be that way.

Believe me when I tell you that sufferings are unnecessary. If you have to go through life with the same trouble the unbelievers have, then what did the Lord Jesus die for? It brings God no glory if you’re in lack and want or if your body and home are ravaged by sickness.

Of course, I’ve suffered persecutions, and it’s okay to suffer persecutions for the sake of the Gospel. But it’s not right to be sick, fearful, and poor. That’s not persecution; that’s Satan’s oppression! Understand that you became the captain of your ship and were responsible for the course of your life from the moment you were born again. You can direct the course of your life and reign over the systems of the world with your tongue! That means your words are not empty. They are potent; they have conquering, overcoming, and prevailing power over devils, adversities, and all negative circumstances of life.

In James 3:4-5, the Bible likens the tongue of a man to the rudder of a ship. Though very small, it controls the great ship despite the waves that beat against it, for it is the instrument that directs the course of the ship.

No wonder the Bible says that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21). The power of the tongue is something that many Christians are not quite aware of today. The Bible didn’t say that death and life are in the hands of God; it says they’re in the power of a very tiny part of the body – the tongue. The tongue may be small in size, but its results are mighty, for it directs the course of your life.

Many of God’s children whine and cry when they want a change in their lives; they don’t realize that the power is in their mouths. God has given you His Word and a tongue to speak according to His will for you. The Lord’s will and purposes for us are expressly revealed in His Word. He says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11). All you need to do now is speak those things into existence and believe that whatever you say will come to pass (Mark 11:23). That’s faith!

No matter what you may be facing, speak God’s Word and see the changes! You can change anything. It makes no difference whether it’s living or non-living. As long as you want it changed, speak to it and change it. Is it a growth in your body? Do you need a job? Does it have to do with your house or car? They all have intelligence and they will hear and obey you.

Start using your tongue to your benefit today; start speaking faith-filled words that the world and its systems cannot withstand! As a child of God, you’ve already been declared a victor! You can do all things through Christ Who gives you strength. He lives in every bone of your body; He’s in your blood, skin, and even your voice, for His life is in you! Speak faith-filled words because this is the victory that overcomes the world!
